Carlson Takeoff R11 Registration / License issue

This applies to local installation.

Issue:

Jackson Little was getting an error when opening Carlson Takeoff R11 software locally on his laptop. This installation is separate from that of the one available on the server.

Carson was also running very sluggishly.

Resolution:

Carlson lost its system variable to pull license. System variable was readded.

Instructions:

Navigate

Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables…

Under System variables box check if the variable LSFORCEHOST with value 10.1.1.214 (192.168.1.7 is IP is no longer valid) is present.

If not, click New…

Fill in as follows:

Variable name: LSFORCEHOST

Variable value: 10.1.1.214

Click ok

Once that LSFORCEHOST variable has been added, close Carlson if it is open and then re-open Carlson for it to pull its license.
