FIX: TrackIt tablet re-registration

If a Trackit tablet prompts for registration and displays “Device already registered” after entering the IMEI, follow the steps below:

  1. Identify previous user

    • Obtain the name and employee ID of the last user who successfully logged into the tablet.

  2. Log into Trackit (Admin)

    • Sign in to the Trackit web portal using an administrator account.

  3. Verify tablet usage

    • Go to: Reports > Daily Breakdown.

    • Set the Start Date/Time and End Date/Time to cover the last known good login time.

    • Set Query By to the identified user.

    • Click View Report.

  4. Confirm IMEI

    • In the report, locate and note the tablet IMEI associated with that user.

  5. Locate device in Trackit

    • Go to: Settings > Tracking Device+ > Tracking Device.

    • Search for the IMEI of the tablet in question.

  6. Unlock the device

    • Once the device record is found, click the padlock icon on the far right to unlock the tablet.

  7. Re-register the tablet

    • On the tablet, re-enter the IMEI and click Register.

If completed successfully, the tablet should re-register and function normally.
